Manhattan Squares & Plazas
Hanover Square is home to the British Memorial Garden. The garden commemorates 9/11 British victims and marks the historic relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States.
This spacious square on Manhattan's Lower East side is bordered by bustling boutiques, hotels, and restaurants. The area teems with activity throughout the year, including a bustling Christmas market and various community celebrations. Underneath the plaza, the Union Square subway station is one of the busiest in New York.
Located on the west side of Manhattan, Times Square has been associated with the annual New Year's Eve countdown and celebration for New Yorkers. The area abounds with theaters and entertainment venues.
The Josie Robertson Plaza is located at the center of the Lincoln Center campus at Columbus Avenue between 62nd and 65th Streets. The Plaza hosts a variety of events throughout the year including performances by the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. The Plaza is also known as the recognizable backdrop to PBS's 'Live From Lincoln Center' series.
