This three hour annual parade is held by Macy's and has been marching through Manhattan since 1924. Millions of street spectators and 44 million television viewers tune in yearly to see the display of balloons, floats and performers. This is a New York tradition and a must see for any visitor.

The parade starts at 44th Street and Fifth Avenue. The first parade took place in 1766 and was organized by military units. There are over 150,000 participants marching in the parade. The event is an annual event. People participate by wearing all green attire.
